Today, we are highlighting a feature from our latest release: meet the metadata export! This functionality was a popular item on our wishlist. Thanks to feedback from our customers, we keep improving our products at Zeticon!
With the metadata export, you can easily download information about all types of objects from your information platform.
Why export metadata?
Do you need external approval to have certain files destroyed? Do you need an overview of certain objects around the same topic? Do you want to check the metadata for completeness?
With the handy metadata overview, you can quickly check or adjust this information. This way, you do not have to give access to possibly sensitive information, but can get started with the most necessary information.
Or do you need the metadata in other systems? Thanks to the csv format, you can easily import this data into any application. And so you ensure a seamless transition of data to different systems.
How does it work?
In just a few steps, you can export your desired metadata!
- Step 1: Using an export profile, indicate which metadata fields you want to export.
- Step 2: Select the files you want to export.
- Step 3: The system creates a csv download based on your export profile. You can start working with this file in 1, 2, 3. Simple right?
Of course, this functionality takes into account export rights on items. So you can sleep on both your ears that only authorised people can export the information.
