Zeticon is a young and dynamic company that builds software solutions for archiving digital information. Currently, Zeticon is developing two software products:

MediaHaven: platform focusing on archiving, managing, preserving and unlocking media (video, photo, audio)

DigiHaven: platform focusing on archiving, managing, preserving and accessing files and documents

To strengthen our operations team, we are looking for an operations engineer/cloudops. If you join our team, you will have the opportunity to have a direct impact on the further growth of the company. You will work from our offices in Ghent.

Job description

The operations engineer/cloudops has the following responsibilities:

  • Perform installations of our products (MediaHaven, Digihaven)
  • Set up infrastructure both on premise and in the cloud (AWS,Azure, IBM)
  • Performing upgrades
  • Preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Optimising the installation and upgrade process
  • Providing 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support
  • Documenting and monitoring operational procedures
  • Coaching and guiding colleagues
Your profile
  • You work in a structured and process-oriented way
  • You have extensive experience with operational procedures
  • You have been responsible for the operational management of business-critical systems
  • You can communicate clearly and to the point with the aim of providing the customer with a correct solution
  • You are pragmatic: obtaining a correct solution is more important than the theoretical labels
  • You have excellent problem-solving skills and can reason both conceptually and in detail
  • You have a broad technical background in system management and cloud operations:
    • Linux (Debian)
    • Bash Scripting
    • Python
    • Ansible
    • VMWare
    • Cloud : Azure, AWS, ...
    • PostgreSQL
    • Networks
  • You enjoy or are interested in coaching and mentoring colleagues to continuously improve the level of operations
  • You can deal with unexpected twists and changes in your daily schedule
  • It would be great if you can also combine the above with an eagerness to learn whereby you constantly broaden and deepen your knowledge, knowledge of modern infrastructure technology such as docker containers and kubernetes, ...
