On 10 December 2020, V-ICT-OR organises Manage IT according to annual tradition. This year Manage IT will continue online with the theme: "COMMUNITY WITHOUT COMMUNITY HOME". As platinum partner of V-ICT-OR, Zeticon will also be present. Will you be there too?

THE MUNICIPALITY WITHOUT A TOWN HALL

Covid-19 has put local governments on a digital fast track. Residents could no longer simply walk into their town or city hall. Council meetings had to take place online and employees were obliged to work from home. Everyone knows this story.

Local authorities were therefore forced to adapt their operations by also offering their services online. Alternative solutions had to be found to provide information in a responsible manner, without making concessions to the organisation's manoeuvrability and speed.

Nor will we return to the old, familiar situation. The trend that government organisations must present themselves as a control platform is the new future. It is also important to involve everyone (employees, residents, partners, etc.) in this digital journey.

The approach to this and experiences will be included in the Manage IT 2020 programme.

SESSION IN THE SPOTLIGHT: ARCHIVING VIA DAV

Like every year, there are several inspiring sessions at Manage IT. Last year our Digital Archive Flanders story was presented. This year Johan De Reu (local government Dilbeek) and Quincy Oeyen (Het Facilitair bedrijf) will take the floor on 10 December and will show live how they successfully archive the meetings of the city council and the college in Dilbeek via DAV's e-Depot.
